Shri Rajesh Kumar is a senior officer of 2001 batch of the Central Power Engineering Service (CPES), with over 23 ycars of distinguished experience in the Central Government and an addi tional 2 years of professional experience with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UP PCL) at the beginning of his career.

Over the course of his career, Shri Kumar has acquired wide-ranging and multifaceted experi ence across the power sector, with expertise spanning electricity policy, operational planning, grid operations, electrical inspections, financial and commercial appraisal, standard bid docu ments, electricity tariff policy, renewable energy technology, and energy storage systems. During his tenure on central deputation with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govern ment of India, Shri Kumar gained significant experience in administration and financial manage ment. He handled important portfolios relating to general administration, recruitment, promo tions, service entitlements, and the Integrated Finance Division, thereby acquiring valuable ex posure to institutional management and government financial processes. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, combining a strong technical foundation with exper tise in financial and managerial disciplines.

In his current capacity as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Shri Kumar has an initial tenure of three years and exercises vigilance oversight over the following defence manufacturing organi zations under the Department of Defence Production, Government of India:
Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL)
Gliders India Limited (GIL)
Troop Comforts Limited (TCL)
India Optel Limited (IOL)

With his extensive experience in the government sector, coupled with expertise in policy, regu lation, finance, administration, and governance, Shri Rajesh Kumar brings a broad and multidis ciplinary perspective to his present responsibilities.
