The AN-32 Heavy Drop System (HDS), developed by DRDO’s ADRDE for the Indian Air Force, enables the paradrop of heavy military stores, vehicles, and equipment up to 3 tonnes from the AN-32 transport aircraft. Using a robust platform and a multistage parachute sequence, the system ensures safe extraction, descent, and landing of loads in remote or inaccessible areas, making it vital for military logistics, disaster relief, and rapid deployment operations.
