Record $3.7 Million Export Order Secured by Gliders India.

Gliders India Limited has secured an export order worth about ₹30 crore from Vietnam to supply parachutes for Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft. The order includes brake parachutes, which help slow down the aircraft during landing, and pilot parachutes, which assist in deploying the main chute safely.

These parachutes are critical safety components and must function reliably at high speeds and under extreme conditions. The deal highlights India’s growing capability in manufacturing specialized aerospace equipment.

Vietnam operates Su-30 fighter jets, and this order will support the maintenance and safety of its fleet. The agreement also reflects strengthening defence cooperation between India and Vietnam.

Gliders India, based in Kanpur, is part of India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem and has been expanding its presence in global markets. This export order is an important step in increasing India’s defence exports and building international trust in Indian-made products.
