Kanpur Names Parachute Chowk in Honour of Ordnance Parachute Factory

The Tiraha near Cantt Hospital in Kanpur has been named Parachute Chowk, in recognition of the invaluable services rendered to the nation by the Ordnance Parachute Factory.

The naming places a permanent marker of the Factory's contribution at the heart of the city it has served since 1941, and stands as a fitting tribute to a legacy of excellence in defence manufacturing.
